I think it’s safe to say that Halloween 2014 was ruled by FROZEN. About 90% of the girls who showed up at my door Trick or Treating were wearing an Elsa costume. There were a few Anna’s, but the night was clearly owned by the Ice Queen herself.
The Wizard of Oz film is one that’s been loved by generations, so it’s no surprise that decades after the movie debuted in theaters, it’s still popular. Halloween is a great time to dress up as one of your favorite WOZ characters from Dorothy to the Tin Man and even the Mayor of Munchkin Land, you can find them all in sizes from children to adults and even pets.
It wasn’t that long ago that plus size women’s costumes were limited to nuns and other dowdy options. Now more companies are adding choices for those larger than size 16, but sadly, most stop at size 18/20.
Jolie plays the evil Maleficent against the pure, Ella Fanning as Sleeping Beauty. These costumes mimic the tone of the film and are favorites for the 2015 Halloween season.
Cotton muslin is so soft and comfy and the perfect fabric for lightweight bedding, blankets, and sheets. It gets softer with every washing and muslin swaddle blankets make a great nursing cover because they allow air to flow so you and baby don’t get too warm.
I appreciate a wish list. It makes shopping for birthdays so much easier. We do wedding and baby registries, so why are we so reluctant to create personal wish lists for birthday and holidays. It just makes sense to me because I hate giving a store gift cards unless I have no other options.
