Travel Wyoming
I visited Wyoming for the first time last year and immediately fell in love. I didn’t expect it. It’s not a place I ever really thought of, even though a co-worker moved there a few years ago to open a Bed & Breakfast near Yellowstone National Park. I remember thinking to myself who would go there and stay at a B&B? I had no idea of the beauty of Wyoming.
But from the moment we landed, I was smitten and since that trip I’ve planned to take my husband there because I think he’ll feel the same way. But for him I’d likely choose to go in winter to experience snow. Why? Because Wyoming as the perfect destination for winter travel. It’s said to have some of the best skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling in North America.
For us it will be to visit Yellowstone National Park under the cover of snow. The crowds of summer will be gone and replaced by a glistening landscape ready to be explored. Nordic skiing, ice skating, and snowshoeing are more our style – as is bird and nature watching – and all that can be done in the park. And maybe we’ll just check out that little B&B my friend is running. It looks like she knew something I didn’t all along.

How would you travel Wyoming in the winter? Are you a snow sports daredevil who’d thrill to see Travis Rice, Wyoming native and the “best big mountain snowboarder the world has ever seen” on the slopes? Or someone who likes to relax by the fire with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate? Or do you like both?

I never thought to travel Wyoming but I know lots of friends who are travel people who would love to! On my buckletlist I would love to snowboard once!
Wyoming was never on my travel list either until I went to Cody. Now I’m planning on taking my husband and spending a month or so there when he retires and I can’t wait!
My grandma lived in Wyoming for the last few years of her life. She loved it. I’ve always wanted to visit.
You know, Wyoming is one of the only 10 states I have left to visit in the US. This article is making me what to go even more!
I was really pleasantly surprised by just how lovely it was – even the people!
I have never been there but my husband has and says it is stunning. I am not a snow person but I do love how pretty snow is, it would be beautiful in the park!
Go in summer then! It’s still stunning and warm! 🙂
Wyoming is a place I’d love to wonder around. I’m do due for a cold get away, and this sounds like a lot of fun.
One of my best friends grew up in Wyoming. I’ve always wanted to visit!
I bet Wyoming would be amazing in the winter! I would prefer to visit when it is warm though!
I would love to visit Wyoming during the winter!! I can only imagine how pretty it must be with snow.
This is really neat! When I think of the US I don’t think I’ve ever thought of Wyoming or even visiting but it seems interesting and like a nice place!
We have been through Wyoming but never stopped to spend any time there. I travel a lot so it isn’t out of the question.
My husband has always wanted to visit Wyoming. It seems like a beautiful place to see.
We have been several times many years ago. I think another trip is called for.
I have never been to Wyoming. This looks like a super fun trip.
I have never really thought about going to Wyoming before. It seems like an interesting place to visit, though.
I love it out west and really enjoyed Yellowstone. It was amazing how the buffalo just crossed the road like a herd of cattle. I have never been to Jackson Hole and would love to go! Thank you for the wonderful opportunity.
