SELF magazine and Smartfood recently named the top 10 “SMARTest” Cities in the US. I wasn’t surprised at all to see my own city, Seattle, at the top. But what makes a city SMART? Savvy, Motivated, Accomplished, Responsible and Thoughtful. They combined the five criteria to determine which cities live and eat well.
But we’re not alone on the top of the list. I’ve been to 5 of the top 10 cities and I agree they’re all fabulous! Where does your city fit in?
The Top 10 SMARTest cities ranked by Smartfood and SELF magazine are:
San Francisco, CA.; Seattle, WA.; Washington, DC.; Austin, TX; Minneapolis, Minn.; Portland, OR.; Denver, CO.; Boston, MA.; Honolulu, HI; and San Jose, CA.
In conjunction with the announcement Smartfood launched a contest giving you the chance to nominate someone you know (or yourself) to be a winner in the SMART Search 2013. The winner will be featured this September in SELF magazine PLUS receive 10K in prize money! Go to www.Facebook.com/Smartfood to enter.
