Walt Disney Animation Studios has just released new concept art plus first look footage for their 2014 animated feature BIG HERO 6! This spankin’ new 3D film will be in theaters in the US on November 7, 2014.
This new animated film stars Hiro Hamada, a brilliant robotics prodigy, who finds himself within the grip of a seedy criminal plot that could possibly destroy the life that he leads in the high-tech and fast-paced city of San Fransokyo. He teams up Baymax-Hiro, is closest robot companion, to join forces with a team of first-time crime fighters who though reluctant, must work together to save their city.
This futuristic action comedy adventure was inspired by the Marvel comics and features a comic-book style look, feel, and action.
BIG 6 First Look Footage Video
So what do you think? Yea or nay? Did the WDS capture the Marvel look and feel? Will you be setting aside the date to see the film when it first hits theaters? I’ll admit, I’m curious and while I’m not much of a comic book fan, I love the futurist slant on this one so I’ll be watching to see it as it develops.

Though my son is grown, we still love to see all the animated movies! This one looks really nice. I like the futuristic look of the animation. My computer wouldn’t let me view the clip for some reason, but I know it will be a long year or so waiting for this one to come out!
My adult boys and I still love animated movies, too! And we can always count on them for a trip to Disneyland or Walt Disney World! It’s so nice to have something we still love to do together as a family.
I really hope they can pull this off. I have really high hopes for this and I am sure a lot of other people do as well.
The preview looks pretty awesome! It’s always hard waiting for them to come out 🙂
Very cool! I don’t go to the movies much.. but you never know! Thanks for sharing!
I don’t get out much either, but I seem to make it for the Disney and/or PIXAR movies.
Really cool looking pictures! It’s amazing how much technology has advanced in digital media in just the past decade. I can still remember when Toy Story came out and how great everyone thought that was then.
The preview clip in the video looks great! It’s been a while since mine were at the age where we saw Disney movies at the theater but this one is appealing.
This sounds like it will be an interesting movie, I had not heard about this one until reading about it on this post.
This looks really neat! I hope to see it when it comes out!
