MiscFinds4u Joins Ziplist – Free Online Recipe Box, Menu Planner, and Shopping List Creator

ZipList is quite possibly the coolest online free service I’ve seen in quite a while. What is ZipList? It’s an online recipe box where you can save and share recipes, do your menu planning, and make grocery shopping simple with customizable shopping lists.

Grocery Shopping List

ZipList is integrated with many of the web’s best food sites, including celebrity chefs and food bloggers, so saving recipes is a breeze – just click “Save Recipe” on these sites. Once saved, you can turn them in to shopping lists which you can print or sync with your mobile device (free iPhone and Android mobile apps). You can scan and add items to your list with their mobile apps right in your kitchen so you’ll be sure you’re getting the right product or to remind you you’re out and need a replenishment. Love it!

Saving Recipes from the Web

Want to save a recipe from a website not using ZipList? You can do it! Web Recipe Clipper  saves the recipe to your universal recipe box and adds the ingredients and amounts so your shopping list can be completed. Then it links back to the original site for the directions.

Menu Planning

Plan your meals from your saved recipes or search the more than 400,000 recipes available on ZipList. But even more exciting, plan your meals around what’s on sale in your local stores! You choose your favorite stores and you’ll have access to grocery deals, offers and coupons! Check out the Meal Planner – I think you’ll find it’s pretty fabulous and very customizable!

Adding recipes from participating sites is just a click away!

 ZipList Ready Recipes

We’re in the process of converting all of our recipes over to the ZipList format – we love the service that much. It’s going to take a while so until then, use the Web Recipe Clipper for any recipe that’s not been converted. I’m using the iPhone app and web version myself and just starting to explore all of its features.

Are you a ZipList user? Do you have any tips or tricks for me?
