It’s a party week for us here. Sure, there’s that whole America’s birthday thing, but in our house that takes second fiddle to the July birthdays. In addition to my own and several of my sisters-in-laws, we’re also celebrating my niece’s and this year we’re throwing her a party! I haven’t compeletely come up with a theme yet, but I did do some shopping for it today. We’re also having a spa/movie night party so we’ll be enjoying party food and fun most of the week!
Laura’s turning 27 and we’re celebrating the event with pizza and ice cream. I picked up some Nestle Ice Cream (original vanilla with chocolate dip Nestle Drumsticks) and a few Tombstone Pizza‘s today at Walmart . I also looked at some party supplies to try to come up with something interesting, but I wasn’t able to settle on a theme. I did find plenty of things to get the movie night party together but I’m struggling with the birthday party.
Want to see what I bought? Here’s my shopping trip in photos on Google +.
I’m starting to wonder if I should combine the two parties into one with “princess” being the theme. Does that seem odd for a 27 year old? Then you don’t know Laura! She’s a boa, tiara, and magic wand kinda girl so that still may be the way I go. I also thought about doing a whole Summer Fun party (#grabsummerfun) with a bright and fun beach ball and flip flops theme.
I did buy some paper to print labels for water bottles and soda bottles to personalize them for the party and I’ll be working some more on the party this week, but I’m really hoping my sister can help me pull it all together.
I’d love some ideas! Can you help a girl out?!?

That looks like a great shopping trip!
We had way more fun that you’re supposed to in a store 🙂
