GUND is one of my favorite plush animal makers. Their animals are not only cute; they’re cuddly, too! When our children were small they got a “stuffie” for every holiday and especially on Easter. Their baskets were 3/4 toys, books, CDs, character toothbrushes and bandages, and 1/4 candy and a stuffed animal took main stage for years.
GUND (a division of Enesco, LLC) has been producing top quality and huggable plush creations for over a century. Their designs appeal to kids of all ages, from babies to grandparents, and they’re played with and collected by millions. My children have owned plenty of GUND‘s plush over the years!
But it’s not just children who enjoy stuffed animals. When my grandmother was living in a home for patients with Alzheimer’s, we’d bring her stuffed animals and she’s share them with the other residents. It was amazing how much joy they got out of holding and snuggling with them. I don’t think I ever walked into the TV room and didn’t find a patient with one in her arms. They loved them and connected with something from their childhood. It was awesome.
So start your own holiday memories and provide a sweet little stuffed animal or plush pal for your little ones to enjoy for years.
Here are our picks for fabulous Easter fun:
- Fuzzys – they’re extra soft and floppy! Choose from Cat, Pig, Dog, Frog, or Monkey
- Curious George – Who doesn’t love this little monkey? He’s soft and huggable at 8” tall and wear your choice of a yellow or red shirt.
- Nuzzles – Older kids? These double as a pillow and are designed to lay comfortably against your neck and cheek.
