Today was tough. I fought the urge to grab junk food and go for it all day long. It started with an email this morning and just continued through a rainy and dreary day here in Seattle. I did snack a lot and it shows in my numbers, but I successfully made it by chatting with my online friends and the hubby by telephone. Its definitely harder when he’s on shift – there’s no one here to talk to when I’m in a blue mood.
I pulled out my mandolin to precut cucumbers for the fridge and chopped into my thumb. I kicked myself for not stopping to put the guard on. But I did fill the refrigerator with carrots, cucumbers, and celery. It’s really helpful to have them ready to go in the fridge.
The containers are from IKEA. They’re super cheap and BPA-free, but the lids are a bit annoying. For less than $4 for 10 pieces, I’ll live with with the inconvenience of them popping off occasionally. The containers come in great sizes including some really tiny ones which hold about 1/4-cup which will be perfect for portioning high-calorie treats.
It’s suppose to be stormy all week here and maybe even snow by the end of the week. Thank goodness for my bike. I figured out how to do the circuit training on it so it kicked my butt tonight!

Great job on the exercise!
I never believe the pts the tracker gives me for exercise and always make it less. Like yesterday I did EA Sports active on HARD for 30 minutes and still didn’t trust that I earned 5 pts. It seemed like a lot, but man I was sweaty and tired afterwards.
I probably cheat myself out of activity points.
Yikes, it does sound like that’s more than 5 points for sure! I went from zero activity to 30-40 minutes and so far so good.
