I love discovering new blogs and today I stumbled across the cutest blog called Call Me Kristin. Specifically, it was a post with a recipe for freezer Blondies that hooked me and within 30 minutes of reading her blog I had my own Blondies in the oven! While they baked, I checked out her blog and found we have a lot in common with the exception of age – drats, I’m old enough to be her mother! Anyway, she’s a graphic artist as well and sells her goodies at two digital scrapping stores – Misses Bee Haven and Groovy Scraps.
Check out her blog and enjoy the photos below of my Blondies – too bad you can’t smell them, they’re divine! Not sure what a Blondie is? It’s like a chocolate chip cookie on steroids and in bar shape so every one of them is soft and chewy. The caramel made by the brown sugar and butter is pan-licking good and worth the burnt tongue and the final product is perfect! Not too sweet and with just the right amount of chocolate chips and nuts. I used pecans, the ones I froze in 1-cup packages last week – perfect timing! Mixing took just minutes and cooking time for me was 35 minutes. These are worth the few minutes of prep time!
